Are you thinking,
"Be nice to the next person at the VA who answers
your phone call, the next one may care less?"

Good workers are hard to find.

I got pretty fortunate ending up near a smaller VAMC in Tomah, WI. They
have always (for the past 25+ years) seemed to have sufficient staff
that actually care about us Vets, and if they don't have the needed
specialist on staff, they're not afraid to approve community-based
treatment at either the local Mayo clinic/hospital or Gunderson
Lutheran. I've been being treated for atrial fibrillation by a
cardiologist at Mayo on the VA's dime for a while now.
